October 15, 2016 – ZJUAANC Council Expanded Meeting

On the afternoon of October 15, 2016 (Eastern Time), the ZJUAANC Council Expanded Meeting was held at the DH Hill Library on the North Carolina State University campus. The meeting was chaired by ZJUAANC President Huang Qin.

The main agenda included summarizing past ZJUAANC activities, completing the new council leadership transition election, adjusting council departments and bylaws, and planning recent and future council activities.

The meeting was honored to have former President of the North American ZJU Alumni Association, Lu Chongqing, and current President Ye Jicheng participate via video conference.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Lu introduced the development history of the North American ZJU Alumni Association and expressed gratitude for the support from the North Carolina chapter. He also shared his expectations for the future development of ZJUAANC and offered valuable suggestions. He expressed his sincere hope that a future North American Alumni Annual Meeting could be held in North Carolina.

President Ye focused on introducing the details of this year’s North American ZJU Alumni Annual Meeting.

After the introductions from the two presidents, ZJUAANC President Huang Qin presented an overview of the North Carolina chapter’s activities, affirmed past events, and presided over the leadership transition election. The list of new council members was announced.

Following collective discussion among the new council members, the council departments were restructured with clearer responsibilities, and the council bylaws were accordingly revised.

At the end of the meeting, council members discussed the future development of the council. To strengthen connections among Zhejiang University alumni in North Carolina and surrounding areas, the association will organize a series of activities. All alumni are encouraged to follow and support these initiatives.

The meeting was chaired by President Huang Qin, with active discussions from both in-person and online participants.
