June 28, 2025 – ZJUAANC Council Leadership Transition: Qi Lei Succeeds as President, Qi Xiao Continues as First Vice President

Council Updates

On June 28, 2025, at 7:00 PM Eastern Time, President Zheng Naiquan convened the Zhejiang University Alumni Association of North Carolina (ZJUAANC) Council leadership transition meeting via WeChat group.

Council members nominated and unanimously approved the following:

  • Qi Lei succeeds as President
  • Qi Xiao continues as First Vice President
  • Council member Xu Gang is appointed Vice President overseeing finance
  • Council member Huo Mingxu is appointed to oversee the treasury

The Council also approved an amendment to Article 13 of the Bylaws, changing the council size from “five to twenty-one alumni” to “three to twenty-one alumni.”

The Fifth Term Council now consists of 6 members, with a term from July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027.
